Can't get my car to stop pinging!!!
I have a 20002 S2000 thats bone stock minus the K&N and removed aircover (uhhh woot?). I'm currently using 93 Octain at whatever alt. Iowa is and whenever I get close to 7500rpm I start to ping like nobodies buisness. I regularly use Sea Foam at oil changes and compression is still 240 across the board (Cold engine, dry test). Can anybody suggest what might be causing this?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Well I dont think you should use Sea Foam THAT much, and I beleive you are supposed to do a compression test on a warmed up motor - but those dont really explain your pinging. Put your air cover back on, your hurting yourself more than helping yourself there. But once again, this doesnt explain your pinging. Can you post a sound cliip of it?
Do you have a time machine as well as your 20002 S2000? Thats awesome, does it hover too? haha
Seriously though, I cant think of anything. Maybe you need a valve job?

haha, come on here with six posts and tell a guy to check his oil because his engine is pinging!
What is happening to Honda-Tech, mods,
There should a quiz which one has to pass before they can become able to post.
