i got a megan racing one, after install i sprayed mine down with brake cleaner like crazy, and cleaned it off and mine was bright *** gold. 1st time i used brake cleaner to clean a header maybe that did it to mine, maybe its the metal.

Like this?

I didn't do anything to my header to get it to look gold, came like that. It's the dynamic autosports jdm 4-1 header.

Just don't touch the header with your bare hands or get oil on it. That's what burns off and turns the stainless ANYTHING but gold.

CLEAN = GOLD

If you put it on bare handed, just use brake cleaner or WD40 as metioned. Spray it down good, wipe it off and start the car. Mine turned gold the first day of driving.

Nothing turns it gold. It's stainless steal. Heat + stainless steel = gold
