what can I do about this insurance problem? *read*
...here's the story. I bought a 94 LS, boosted it...happy times.
one night trying to make my girlfriend happy coming back from a show of christmas lights....we got side swiped by a pick up truck going 60 mph.
bye bye integra. almost bye bye girlfriend, and al...most bye bye me.
found an almost complete 94 GSR shell.
took the back bumper off my car, corner lights and swapped the whole motor in (LS!)
When I go to file this thing for insurance....I wonder how much my insurance is going to differ from 94 LS to 94 GSR....
Anyway...is there anywhere to let the insurance company know that I have an LS motor in a GSR body? lol... cause its gonna suck for me to pay for something I don't technically have.
I'll find an air box and put the stock header on so they can look at it...I wouldn't show them it with the turbo on it lol.
Anybody you know ever run into this dilemma?
Thanks -Corey

i agree. besides you prob wouldn't want to let the insurance company know that you are affecting the value of the vehicle by doing all the things to the car. prob cause fluctuation in your premium

yea if you live in MD then i doubt the insurance on a GSR is radical as if you lived in Cali. Nothing you can do to get them to believe it's an LS. That'd be like swapping a C5 in an EG and telling people you drive an R.
You will pay more for the VIN. Look on the bright side though, if the car gets totaled you will get paid enough to go buy a 1994 GSR!

true. the insurance goes off of the VIN so you will be paying insurance rates for a GSR, which will not be much compared to a LS.
