Wider rims in the rear. Why someone would do it on a FWD is beyond me.

whoever staggered them wider in the rear is an idiot. and staggered doesnt just mean wider in the rear, it could also be in the front. btw, wider in the front and skinnier in the rear on hondas actually isnt the dumbest idea in the world.

lol , when u staggered a honda .. u go 16x8 or 8.5 so u can run wider tires for more grip ! and 15x7 in the rear .. J's racing does it been proven very affective for time attacks for FF cars

Currently running the following setup:

SSR Competition 15x6.5"

Front Tires:
Yokohama AVS ES100 205/50/15

Rear Tires:
Yokohama AVS ES100 195/55/15

It helped a lot with cornering.

yep! I have a 2001 civic with staggered wheels. 16" all around, and the best part of my setup is that all of the tires are the same size!! The staggered setup is hardly noticeable because the offset of the rear wheels isn't that dramatic. The only issue with having this setup is that you won't be able to rotate the tires when the start to wear out. You have to replace them in pairs, i.e. front and rear. Add long as you don't do burnouts, they should last for about two years or so. The average tire life on a vehicle is about 6 years or so.
