Default Requesting ECU

Hey guys.! I can't believe i did this but i actually got 2 guys to come over and test out my crx as if they were gonna buy it. They brought along this ecu cause my crx was throwing codes. The ecu they brought was a pr3 or pr4 chipped or something. But when they put that ecu in and start up the car, it didn't read no codes. Half way trying to sell my car, my mind and heart said, this cant be happening. So i didn't go all the way through with the sale. Cause they tried to low ball me. So i kept my crx. but now i'm really interested in that ECU they had.!!

Can someone help me out on it? they said it burns alot of gas. But it doesn't read any error codes. and he said it's a pr3 or pr4 chipped....?

Thanks! I knew i love the crx. Couldn't sell it felt bad putting the crx in that position. Gonna give it a bath now

What kind of motor do you have? If you have a non-vtec motor, then most likely it was a PR4 (OBD0 Integra LS) ecu. The PR3 would have thrown codes for vtec since it's a B16A ecu. Do you know what code your ecu was throwing?

What kind of codes is your current ECU throwing? what engine and ECU are you running again?

I dont know too much about turboedit or other software used to make your own programs for OBD 0 cars. But I know with Crome and Uberdata, which are for OBD 1 cars, you can disable certain things. For example, I have a OBD 1 GSR swap in my CRX and from day one it was throwing a CEL for the heated O2 sensor. I got a chipped ECU which disabled HO2 and the CEL went away. But I didn't fix my problem, I just ignored it. Now if your CEL's are for something serious you dont want to ignore it.

It was throwing a code 6... water temp and a code 1 for o2 sensor. the car ran like crap when u drive it with a pm6 ecu. But when he put in that ecu he had, It didn't idle low or high, it was perfect. the car ran perfect without blogging at all.

Well the code 6 can and should probably be fixed. But is this the same problem you've had before with the code 1 for O2 sensor. If you cant fix this one then you might be able to disable it through turboedit. You can either pay somebody like xenocron on H-T to chip you an OBD 0 ECU and he can write you a program. Also if you wanted to you can download turboedit for free and buy your own chip burning equipment and make your own ECU programs.

to learn more about that go to http://www.pgmfi.org

Does anyone know where " REDLINE " in sacramento is at? I believe it's a car shop where they do build up and stuff. I went to arden and thought it was the shop behind the DIMPLE RECORDS but turns out that's motorsport dynamic instead. I seen that REDLINE shop somewhere but not too sure where now. Anyone!?
