i got tje D15B2 and it keeps overheating BADLY. once it got up to the red and it blew out a O ring and the coolent shot out. i think it pushes it in to the coolent overflow tank but sucks air back in. today i filleded the radiator almost a liter and have had to add at least 1/2 liter evrey 3-4 days. the thermostat is brand new.
what could be wrong? i think i need a new cap.

no no leaks. did the carbord under the car and it was clean. my fans do work. it does it regardless of driving (up hill or down, A/C on or off)

i did presure check it and the cap holds 11 lbs and the system holds 13 lbs for 10 mins.

I think it's your cap. You must be burning off the coolant since there are no leaks from the motor. Unless your headgasket is bad. There's no coolant in your oil is there?

no coolent in oil. and not burning it. i think it's spilling on the ground as i drive.
EDIT: also somthing i just noticed my overflow is filled beyond max when over heating but empty when cold. could my overflow have a crack in it?

Clogged radiator. If you have a new thermo and no leaks, no pressure loss, it has to be a slow restriction. Take your rad out and flush it or grab one from autozone...40-60 bucks.

i hit a dog a few months ago and they replaced the radiator. so it's brand new too.
i did notice that my hoses are starting to buldge. so i think new hoses and a new cap will fix it.

but theres no white smoke. so i cant be burning.
we just moved in to our new house on a hill with a great view. the car runs very hot going up the hill w/ or w/o the ac on.

Something that hasnt been mentioned is are you bleeding the coolant when you refill it? I would assume so but if not it certainly causes overheating issues. Otherwise look towards your water pump, other than that, a good pump/cap/thermo/rad/fans your **** should be ok.
yeah that overflow **** happened to me. i'm pretty sure it's your headgasket. about 4 months after that happened the headgasket took a complete **** on me. but i hope that's not the case for you!
if the waterpump went out...would it just lock up and squeel on the timing belt. I say it might be the WP.....check it out dude.... sorry but if it's the wp...you gotta do some lifting and take the cover off and replace it...

But the lower hose is ALWAYS cooler than the upper hose. This is a sign that your radiator is doing its job.

well it dosent do it as offen or as hot but after a hose burst at the market on a 112 degree day when iwas getting ice cream
, i replaced both radiator hoses. it still gets over the thermometer symbol when driving up the hill to my house and i still have to add bout 1\2 a quart of coolent evrey few days. i defently made it less but the demon is still there.
EDIT: my overflow tank is fine, no cracks when i tool it out. and if the needle goes above the symbol then the coolent in the overflow boils.

If you have severe overheating, disappearing coolant, no signs of leakage, and all cooling system components are good, then the most likely cause is a blown head gasket.

That's what I'm saying.
That's what I'm saying.
do a leakage test to see if head gasket is blown.........you might not see smoke out of tail pipe but still could have a blown head gasket
