Default Need help with welding DP

hey what's up H-Ters..... well i use oxy-acetelene to braze copper lines at work ( im a hvac service technician ) I'm soon going to start my turbo project....and i need to do some welding with the down pipe....my ? is what kind of rod do i use with an oxy-acetelene setup. and what kind of flame do i want.....

Can't help you with the rod

But for the flame, you want a bright blue flame and you want to get a puddle going, gas welding like that takes some control.

I use ER70-S2 for most O/A welding, it seems to work fine for me on cold/hot roll mild steel. As for flame, adjust to neutral, and go from there.

No you have to get a puddle started. By that I mean the metal actualy hast to liquifiy sorta before you start dabing in the rod.
