would this add any power?
hey i have access to a wrecked '91 4 door and was wondering if i took the ecu(i dont know which one it is) and put it in my STD hatch (pm9 i believe) would i get any power gains? are there any other pros to doing this? thanks

It the donor car has MPFI, it won't even run your car, you have 2 injectors, the ecu handles 4. If you're really interested in that kind of thing, look into converting to the multi-port fuel injection like the Si and HF have. The PM6 ecu from the Si has a lot more tuning capabilities too.

what kind is it? EX? or DX / LX? if DX/LX then yes. unless u wana convert ur car to MPFI.

so if the 4 door is either an LX or a DX then i can run it on my car with dual point and itll give me power gains? does anyone know which ecu's are for dual point? thanks

I'm gona have to say the power gains are in theory here. It's mostly flow and compression that separate those engines. I would save the money for MPFI swap or an engine swap to be completely honest. Or do an intake.
p.s. 70 HP sucks, ive been there lol.

Take it from me, I had a DX in my std and it make no difference. PM9s are 91 std/dx ecu's, but I think only for the 4Ds. Because the DX pm5 that I installed, was off a hatch, and I've noticed a pattern from the pm9s being only in 91 4Ds.
