They need to make a speed triple as a 600 cc. I want one but I could never have it as my first bike.

Would a 600-triple make competitive power in the class? I don't know if that's a viable financial option for Triumph. They've got the Speed Four, and I guess that's an alternative, though...

yeah I could never have one as my first bike or as the only bike I had. I read this article (I dunno if it was this bike or not) where they was testing a lot of different bikes around the same class but the triumph they were testing kept breaking down so it didn't make it to the end. I'll see if I can dig it up and find out which mag it was in. They do look good but if I had one I'd change the headlights, I don't like the bugeye look and looks cheap imo. But def. cause they give you two lights, they should do pretty good at night. I think the fonz had a triumph back in the day, maybe today he'd have one of these.

Does it come new with a salvage title?

It looks like a theft recovery.

All that said, I still dig it. It seems to have all you need and nothing you don't.

They should offer a solo seat and no rear pegs though.

I didn't. I like the triumphs.
If for nothing else, than the fact that they are bringing a bunch of new ideas and
designs to the table. Maybe not good designs all the time, but it keeps things
from getting stagnant. Congrats to a once great company, thats striving to make its
mark again.

To me, Triumph has become like Saab. A name characterized by uniqueness that has since mimicked the other class-leading vehicles to try to gain a market share. They have some interesting designs (old Saab hatchbacks for Saab, Speed Triple and inline-three engines for Triumph), but beyond that they only have the name to cling on to.

Hmm...I'm torn.

The styling is definitely me as I'm a big fan of black renegade sport bikes. However why does the wheelbase seem waaaaaaaay to short? Looks kinda goofy. I loathe that stock exhaust. Talk about the true meaning of grapefruit shooters. Other then that I'd rock it.

I thought you were moving to Hawaii and left HT?

Or maybe I was just hoping that...

It would look pretty good if it was stretched out a little, with more rake. Looks like somebody ran it straight into a wall. Not bad really, just......compacted.

Probably wouldn't be able to tell a difference if it had fairings.

It would definitely help you stand out from the crowd. It has a custom look to it.

There is 3 guys around here that ride them. They all ride together, one is red, one is black, and the other is like a SRT4 Orange with black decal stuff on it. I like them but would never ride one personally, looks naked.

that conparison with the saab's was a good one... maybe i like it so much cause some crazy person in albany just t-boned me in my Aero and now it's gone

but yeah, it looks like a hooligan bike, probly why i like it, and Triumph offers a rear cover for the seat, which really cleans up the back end...

maybe another reason is the Ducati-esque single sided swingarm....

anyway, the mag review i saw this in first said exactly what has been posted, it offeres tons of power, it handles like a beast (they mainly said something about being afraid it would be sluggish, but the wide handlebars gave it the "moto-gp" feel)

i still like it a lot...

btw - they also make a windscreen for it, and i was thinking maybe powdercoating the rear sets and wheels gold to match the forks?

I work with a guy that has one. He tells me it's abeast until you actually lay into it, then it digs real good up till around 130mph. He's too afraid to go faster on it. I don't blame him.
