WTF! I found a Spoon thermostat @ Modacar and it cost 89 USD while the JR thermostat is only 9.95 USD? Is this possible or just a print vailure? Both are rated at 70 deg C which is 160 DoEs AnYoNe KnOw WheRe I CaN GeT SoMe StRObE LiTEZ AnD LiGhT uP WiNdShiElD NoZzLeS??enheit.

No way doodz the Spoon thermostat will make MAD powah over the weak-azz JR thermostat.
JDM POWAH BABY!!!
Um... I'm pretty sure they both do the same thing... open and close at 160F.
I do know that when you drill lots of holes in them it takes a long time for your car to warm up.

Engines runs at 90 Degrees C for exhaust gas things. But it is better for an engine to run at 80 or 70 degrees. But the exhaust gases are more polute what I´ve heard. Is that true? I think there is no downside when the engine runs at constant 70 degs C.
its probably not a typo I paid CAD 125 for my Mugen from Acura dealership, oh sorry cnverted to US funds thats like 2.50 (no really USD77) , there are many low temp therms around that fit our application and are standard replacement parts for other cars.

The units may do the same thing but their construction is completly different. I took my stock unit which physically looks like the Spoon/Mugen one. The JR thermostat which I bought is much smaller and lighter. It looks just like the ones you see in Pep Boys. The Honda one has two springs, one large, one small. It is longer and heavier and seems to operate in a different fashion. The JR unit is very simplistic. In comparison to the stock unit the JR one looks really cheap. However, since putting it in I have had no problems and believe it or not my temperature needle sits a little bit lower.
