I have notice there's a different between the regular bseries starter to the JDM ITR one, they look smaller and lighter. My question is, a friend of mine has JDM ITR motor on his car and his starter went bad, and I just wanted to make sure if other B series starter will (which I think it should) work on the JDM ITR tranny. I appreciate all the help in advanced

 

Further concrete proof that jdm parts are far superior than usdm parts. J/K of course.

I believe the jdm starters are Matshupoo pooa and the us starters are Denso, right or wrong?

try asking jeff652. he just did a usdm tranny to jdm tranny swap and had both the jdm and usdm starters.

 

On the starter issue, I dont think it's a matter of JDM vs USDM, rather a matter of what vendor they were buying starters from when the cars were made. I believe the Denso seems to be more popular of the two.

 

They replaced my starter with SiR II starter. It's all good now.
