car wont start... any suggestions?
i havent driven the car for about a week... it was only today that i decided just to roll it around the block just for the hell of it. so i turned the key, and it wont start. i can hear the crank move, but wont start.
im probably going to take the battery to checker's to see if it's the battery that's the problem. if it aint.. is there a way that i could check to see what else might be the problem?
i asked a friend of mine what it could be. and he said that it might be spark plugs, alternator, starter.. etc. but like.. how would i know where to begin after checkn if the battery is good/bad?

pull a plug out and check for spark and test for fuel. If you're missing one then you get no start. If it is cranking good then it's not the battery. If it doesn't crank good or at all then try jump starting it. If you get it started let it run for a few minutes and then turn it off and see if starts again. If it doesn't then it's either you battery or alternator. Check and see if you have spark and fuel first if the engine turns and narrow it down that way.
sometime those ignitors are just weird... you might have it not start one minute... then the next it will start just fine. i have seen this problem alot through all the gsr's ive dealt with.
1. battery 2.spark 3.fuel
1. battery 2.spark 3.fuel
since you didn't drive the car for about a week, i would check the battery first. then if it doesn't solve the problem check the other stuff

put a screwdriver in the plug wire and ground it on the head or ground wire while someone else tries to start the car. you should see it arc in a yellowish white color. also you could check the main fuel relay under the dash by the dead pedal.
