Mounting A Sparco Sprint In A EG?
What stuff will i need to put a sparco sprint in a 95 hatch? i dont want the stock seat belts. I Know I need the sliders but what brackets or feet will i need? An Item Number I would like if anyone could give me one.
If you don't want to use your stock seat belts, just get a cage w/ a harness bar and you'll be set. or you can try using SPARCO's 3-point harness and just bolt it down to your rear seat belt.
As far as brackets go, just get a Sparco bracket and slider and you'll be done.
Word of advice though. I'm not sure why but the right rear bolt on the Sparco bracket doesn't line up well w/ EG's.. I don't know if it's just me but a few of my friends had the same problem so we had to bend back the plate a tad..

Just go to racingseatsusa.com ...search for it in google.... then go to bracket and slider and select your car. Make sure you know the year cause a 92 is different then 93-95.
As for mounting it you dont need the slider. What i did was put the bracket down, then put pieces of double sided tape on the bottom of my seat (it was a bottom mount) and sat in it till i liked where i was. Then i drilled through the bracket and mounted my seat.
Good for a few reasons:
1. nobody else can drive your car
2. the weight of your body is lower, by a little bit making the handling theoretically better
3. save money
4. if you are using 5 points (which you should be using for a car without stock seatbelts) as I am, the arguement that safety of drilling (which the bracket is still stable after you drill) is n/a because the belts are held on to hopefully a roll bar if you are in the eggshell of an eg and 3 other points to keep you in the event of an accident
