I got a 94 LS Automatic 4 door bone stock and I'm getting 230-240 ish on full tank.
Read on recent threads if it could be the o2 sensor, PCV valve, fuel injectors stuck open, fuel filter cloag. Just curious what most likely would it be cuhz i dont want to replace anything i dont need to. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

My 00 gsr gets around 22 mpg stock. I know autos get worse mileage, and the sedan is heavier, so 240 a tank is around 22 - 24 mpg, which doesn't sound so bad. I thought they were advertised to only get 25/30 from the factory. You could always get the ecu tuned to run leaner for better mileage.

If your saying thats normal to get 240 per tank that means that integra's have like 10 gallon gas tanks? Tune up to get higher milage would be what exactly?? coolant ?? pumps?? injectors? thanks in advance
240 per tank
i think thats great
thats like 24mpg
with my 200hp lsvtec i get about 180 per tank 18 mpg
when i was stock i got 22mpg and my friends stock gsr gets about 25mpg
suu your going to get some ppl that are going to say they get 300+ per tank but i have no idea how then do it
maybe if you do 1 trip all high way you might get 300+. but no one i know ever gets that kind of millage
my gf's stock auto civic ex gets about 26-28mpg
my aunts auto 9 7 accord lx gets 26mpg and does mostely highways too
i dont think anything is wrong with your car and you get the average gas millage
always remember that no one ever gets what the companys advertise

i dont know how, but my car never sees the interstate, and i get consistently over 30. i found that if i shift where the owners manual tells me, that i actually get worse mileage then what i currently get. and ive tried granny driving(taking forever to reach normal speed), and it doesnt change noticeably.

Integras have tanks with a capacity of 13.2 gallons. When you say tank are you talking about right until the gas light comes on and stays on or after?? I always ride the gas light for like 30+ miles because it overcompensates. Do this: Fill your car to the cutoff point and reset your trip odometer. Record number of gallons pumped and ride the car until a little past the gas light comes on and stays on. Next time you fill up again, fill up until the cutoff and record the amount of gas you put in. Now write this number. This is how much you used. Then divide your mileage on the trip odo by the number of gallons used. This is the most accurate way to measure gas mileage.

Thats what I did b4 I posted on the thread is that I filled up full tank reseted the odometer reader and started driving. When it hit light I kept driving and seriously was riding on almost fumes to pump gas it was at 240ish. 240 Divide 13.2 = 18 ish MPG and thats pretty bad in my opinion. . . . yea I know its an old car but damn 18mpg is burning a hold in my pocket all the way through my boxers to my ***
The tank in my 92 GSR is i believe 13 or so gallons, i generally get around 250+ on a tank, which translates to roughly 28mpg. To me that's amazing compared to my last vehicle (93 nissan) which got like barely 20mpg

exactly what i do. ive found that the light comes on when youve used only about 10.5 gallons. i rarely let it go until then, though, since nightmares of my old accords light not coming on and leaving me stranded on the side of the road, making me miss 2 classes and having to walk 2 miles to the nearest gas station, still haunt me.

just do a complete tune up yourself...
spark plugs (make sure you gap it good)
spark plug wires
fuel filter
air filter
injector/fuel line cleaner
replace tranny fluid
replace engine fluid
do a compression test and make sure your engine is running strong, is numbers are off, you might need to replace the ring and gasket as well...
so a coolant flush too...
i am sure you will run SO MUCH better after.
my g2 when i first got it i have about 370km/tank... after most of the rune up i did above, i get 450km/tank.

I have a 92 RS with 274K miles and I still get 300 miles till the fuel light comes on. If I push my luck, I can get up to 350 before refilling. I deliver pizza, so that is all city with a few hwy miles. I have replaced coil, ignitor, wires, plugs, K&N filter, with free flowing exhaust and set the timing to 17 degrees I believe. And I don't baby this ole motor either, long live the B series!!!!!!!!
oh no....not another gas mileage thread!!!!
IMO that's bad mileage, i get 300 - 340 with mixed highway/city driving with 10 gallon fill ups with the occational wot romp. oh, and i just hit 180k miles.
But get a tune up, that usually fixes your problem.

post your miles per gallon. to some people, a tank is going until the light turns on, to some its the 13 gallons. getting 300 miles til the light turns on is alot compared to going 300 miles and filling your car up with 12.5 gallons.
How the...?
My 97 RS automatic will get 245 miles on $20.00... which only usually puts the needle just before the F when te pressure is full.
I need to see how many gallons of gas it actually is.

Well, I fill up when that needle hits the "E". I NEVER wait for the light to come on cause that means you are scraping the bottom; which is never good. My receipts say a consistent 10.0-10.5 gallons each fill-up. I fill up on average of 6 times per 4-week period and my results are 350-370 per tank. Every time. My theory is simple: take GOOD care of your ignition & exhaust components and you will see excellent gas mileage, and by that I mean routine checks on the following-- cap, rotor, plug wires, plugs, OIL LEVEL, timing accuracy, timing belt and accessory belt condition, fuel filter, catalytic convertor, exhaust connections are tight, tire pressure. I can accomplish all of this with every oil change and the complete process takes 1.5-2 hrs. I think that is a fair trade for the piece of mind that my car is always operating with excellence.
The most acurate way of estimating miles/gal (without special equipment) is to fill your tank up full, hit the trip meter, then next time when you gas up, fill it up full again and look at how much you filled it up with on the pump meter. Then compare the number of gallons on the pump meter with the number of miles on the trip meter. It's not very accurate to just assume when the light hits you've used 10 gallons.
Damn...i see a gas mileage thread every week

first and most important, how hard do you drive the vehicle?
