good entry level tig

Default good entry level tig

i would like to learn tig welding i need somthing that can do manifolds and cages so i need it to be able to penitrate 1/2 mild somthing where its not so basic i will outgrow it tommrow but not where its got features that i will never use.
i was recomended the Miller Sincrowave 180sd i like this welder but its pricy if i could find a used one that would be great. but its hard.

I think the tigmate might be what you are looking for. It's about as entry level as you can get. My best advice is to wait and find a used miller. There are usually ones in auctions and classifieds etc... but they selll super fast.

btw i learned this the hard way after i got my new miller 180 and saw one for sale used for almost half the price....it was sold already...otherwise i would have just smacked myself right then and there. the deals are out there. keep cash in hand and be ready.

the lincoln 175 is a pretty good machine, its what we use at school and on the lower end of the price range

i second waiting, don't short yourself now, when in a short amount of time, you will most probably outgrow a cheap one
