My Integra was stolen from my damn garage!!!!!

My Integra was stolen from my damn garage!!!!!
I posted this in GDD as well...
Happened on 5/19/05 from my garage. The garage doors were open but the car was locked while my girlfriend and I went out from 9:30am to 3:00pm. We got back and it was gone!!
About 3 weeks ago the same *******(s) tried to steal it in the middle of the night but only managed to push it out of the garage and leave it there (car was unlocked that night with the garage doors closed but unlocked. So after that I was being careful and locking the garage and car down at nightl. It never occured to me that some jeaulos piece of **** lowlife that never gets laid would steal it during daytime.
Keep in mind that my house is located in the woods at a dead end street at the end of a 1/2 mile long private drive, so it's impossible to randomely find the house or much less the car in a garage. That's why we never bothered locking the garage during the daytime. On top of that someone is home during the day 90% of the time so the *******(s) must of been staking the place out waiting for the perfect opportunity.
I called the cops, but to them it's just another statistic in the stolen car list. Plus the cop that showed up on the scene also wrote me a ticket about a month back (no front tag, and failure to display reggistration on demand) So the fact that it was him doesn't help much.
I asked him to dust for fingerprints on the garage door handle, and he basicallly ignored me (don't ask)
Here's the worst part... I had liability insurance that didn't cover theft!!! (monthly payments would of been double)
Anyways, I'm really pissed and a few of you guys know what this feels like.
The car - Red 95 Integra with carbon fiber hood, and black 17" Konig 5 spoke wheels with the front mount very visible due to cut out bumper.
If you see it PLEASE call the cops (even if it's stripped I still want it back after all the work I've put into it)

wow thats crazy! you should have had a kill switch and a club!( not that they wouldnt be able to get it in 5-6hours time) but damn!if you ever find them you should let them have it. thats too crazy.

If I had to guess I have one person in mind who did it, but I can't prove a damn thing!
For those of you who don't have full coverage on your Honda take my loss as a lesson. Too many Honda's getting stolen all the time by people that can't afford them by making money the honest way.

Im sorry to hear that, but I would have to say that you're to blame. After several theft attempts, you should have been VERY VERY carefull with your car. You said that they already went into your garage and attempted to take your car, what made you think that they wouldnt try again?

im sorry about your loss man.. thats why no matter what Im always going to keep full coverage on my car... I mean.. even though I dont think my car is going to get stolen.. its better to be safe than sorry...

this isnt CSI or a murder scene. Its not practise for them to dust for such a thing.

I feel your pain - troll around in the ITR forum and you'll see this is far from the first garage break-in. Basically, if they want it, they'll get it, end of story.

In MN, this happens all the time! when your car is in the garage, it's easiet for a thief to take your ride. in the shelter of your garage no one will see him trying to break into your car. and once he gets it started, no one will even hear him. he opens the garage door and drives off with your ride. i know how it all happens...it's happened to SOOOO MANY friends and family that everyone is afraid to leave their car in their garages.

that sounds a bit naive to me. I mean the car is likely been stripped to chassis by now.. you really think someone is driving it?? lol they wanted the rims n hood n interior , body panels, doors ,engine not whole car to drive around
