So you rather have worse brakes jsut so u can get the 96 spec wheels? You do know the brakes are not the same size at all right. 96 spec have gsr brakes with the different lug pattern

Clearly it's all about the looks, I don't know why you're all trying to convince him otherwise.
To each his own. If he wants an extremely limited selection of wheels, the downgrade of brakes and all the headaches and hassles that go with it, so be it.

You could bolt up 4G Prelude VTEC brakes...same as 5G Prelude and ITR brakes. They're 4x114 as well...
Sounds like a big hassle. You can have any size brake w/any of the 3 setups (4x100, 114, 5x114).

4x114.3 has a ton of more wheels than the 5-lug. Also many more of the 4x100 wheels are universal 4x100/114.3 8-hole setups. The enitre setup as a whole is lighter, less bling (people going ooo I want that), and IMO the 4-lug setup would be a much smarter choice for use on a track since there are a lot more cheaper caliper/rotor upgrades as well, and the parts are easier to come by.
Somone had to stand up for the 4x114.3, and I'd know,

You're going to have a really hard time with wheel selection if you need something else.
We have a hell of a time with a '94 Accord and '92 Prelude VTEC because of the general lack of good, light racing wheels in 4x114 size.
I'd reconsider if I were you. If you like the looks, you like the looks and there's nothing we can do about it...but I don't think it's a smart way to be spending your money.

Could you point me to some 15x7 wheels in 4x114 that are good, strong racing wheels that are generally easily available?

Back when I had my Accord I found a crazy good deal on ebay for 16x7 Regamasters (all were unlabeled with no stickers, just "made in russia" on back). I ended up getting them for $360 shipped. On my home scale they weighed in at 11.8 lbs. Then I bought a GSR so I ended up selling them for $600. If anybody wants another set of these in 4x114.3 I MIGHT be able to get in touch with the auctioner again. He had quite a few sets from what I remember.

$360 for $2000 worth of wheels. Nice.
PM sent.

I've seen a ton of the more pricey forged wheels go for less than half what they normally go for 4x100 and 5x114.3 simply because there's less people wanting wheels in that bolt pattern. Back when I was using the 4x114.3 I was amazed at the selection of wheels, but even more amazed at the price they were all going for.
