Which short ram intake tube with d16y8 swap in crx????
Ok aside from the noisy rattling/knockin noise coming from the engine, the only other detail I have to work out is the short ram air intake. The throttlebody/intake combo for a y8 motor is about 2 inches shorter in width than the stock crx si. I can put the rubber tube on, but then it is about 2 inches too short from allowing me to place the airbox lid over the air filter.
What short ram air intake tube have you guys used with the y8 intake/tb combo????
I am thinking if I got a crx one, the air filter would interfere with the battery location.
Any suggestions.
Also you sohc vtec gurus, check my post in hybrids about the noises my motor is making and see if ya have any info for me please
Thanks
Steven

I think that RS Akimoto used to make a intake pipe for the 88-91 DX model that was a tad bit longer ..??? it's been a while since I have seen one..? Sorry but I think thats the one you are looking for..
