DIY kevlar fabric??
Im thinking of making some patches on my pants. Like on the knees and hips. And just using kevlar fabric, sewing it to the inside of the pants, and then using a small amount of resin on it. Has anyone ever thought/done this?
I thought about doing that, and even bought some ballistic grade kevlar on eBay. Couple things though:
- It still won't protect as well as motorcycle specific pants.
- You probably don't want to use any resin on it. It would make it too stiff, plus, I don't think Draggin' Jeans use any on their.

I just rethought it, it would probably be more practical to just sew some leather patches on the inside of my pants. Hahaha, Kevlar was just on my mind this morning cause we were working on it in Airframe class.
