Default might swap b16a2 for itr motor need some help guys

got a couple of questions...as of right now i got a 89 civic std ..b16a2 motor converted obd1...chipped p30 ecu...i was looking into swapping it out for a itr motor..but im confused about the axles....since the trans i would be mostlikely getting is lsd, can i use my axle setup now? 90-91 teg shaft with teg axles or would i have to boogie rig sumtun? also what other probs would i run into wiring wise...already got the efb2 kit in the car now and lowcashracing jumper harness etc...but what to know what kinda stuff im looking to get into..talk me out of a jrsc for the b16a2 and go all motor starting with the itr motor lol............thanks guys

Axles and intermediate shaft should be fine. As far as wiring it will depend on if the ITR is obd1 or obd2

I think that all ITR are obd2 because ITR came out in 96 I could be wrong through But I think you should just stick with the b16 and get the jrsc just my two pennys

You are right the ITR was a 96 model so they are all OBD2 which requires converting to OBD2 or chipping an OBD1 ecu with ITR maps.

well my motor in my car now was obd2 99-00 civic si b16a2 converted it all obd1 wit a chipped p30 ecu...rewired obd2 dizzy and alt. to obd1 ..should be able to use b16a2 dizzy right? jus confused on the intermidiate shaft part with lsd trans...could i used the p73 ecu the way the car is ran now obd1 with the itr motor?and good links with info on this swap cant find anything on the search function...thanks guys for helping

yeah prolly withing the next few weeks...throw me an offer on it well negigiate ..3rd gear in b6 trans has rear slight grind only when tryin to shift super duper fast...new exedy s/s clutch 4k miles....may come with header also dc sport 4 2 1 ...came out of a 99-00 si..the head is stamp 99/6 so im assuming june 99 throw me offers... also any more info on the questions i asked will be helpful thanks

You can swap the motors in as is. Since you are running obd-1, the motor will run that way too, other have said that too. In the short term, you can run the b16a computer until you get the it re-mapped.

what ya mean remapped? couldnt jus use the itr ecu?...and im still stumped about the axles with the lsd trans...

I don't think you can use the itr ecu because it is obd-2. If you are obd-1 then current ecu will work until you get it chipped/remapped with itr fuel curves. Axles I'm not sure.

hmm...well i am using a chipped p30 ecu with my b16a2 now ran obd1...someone i talked to said..get the itr ecu rechipped and get a vafc and get it tuned?

also the motor thats in my car now is a obd2 motor rewired the alt/dizzy obd1...but i got a check engine light... looking for 2ndary o2 i think it is
