water in transmission?

Default water in transmission?

91 lude AT, caught in flash flood and had to drive thru a couple of lakes, afterwards transmision seems more jerky or is it just me, does this happen alot and should i flush and fill transmission? if anyone has some experience or expertise I would definitly apreciate any help.

whoa nelly, why did u drive thru soo much water? ur tranny should be closed. dont know how some water would be able to get into it...

your transmission should be sealed air tight...there should be no way water could get in it...If its running like crap it could be because you got water in your distributor which is causing it to only run on 3 cylinders...thats preatty common with people who pressure wash their engine bay...If water was comming up into your engine bay theres a very good cahnce thats the problem, if so then you can either pull your distributor and pull it apart and blast it dry with compressed air or try doing blasting it with compressed air while its on the car...

I don't know if Honda uses an electronic AT smoother or not, but my buddies AT 240 had that problem when he hosed down his engine bay. The connector was not weatherproof and the water caused corrosion on the terminals and was fuctioning intermittently and caused the car to jerk and shift hard. (Nissan )

That can happen washing ANY car. You get water in your distributor and it will cause your engine to not fire in one cylinder usually the bottom of the distributor or cylinder 1...Your sappose to cover electronic components when washing your engine bay and avoid using excessive pressure on things like distributor and alternator and starter....
