b16 help please
decided to build my head and took it to the machine shop for pnp and valve job
i was planning on going full supertech valvetrain with sk2s2....now my bottom end is stock and i dont plan on touching it till i have to...ive been told by a few people that it was a good combo...but to take full advantage of them i would need at least 11:1 c/r...i also got 3 inch diameter short ram
maxbore TB
aebs intake mani
str fuel rail
b&m FPR
dc 4-2-1 headers
cam gears
vafc
now wont resurfacing the head raise compression a lil bit...what do you guys think about only using two layers of the headgasket...is there a proper way to take out the middle layer ? any other tricks to raise compression?? can i also just use a cheap ebay chip just to raise my rev limiter since the vafc will control the a/f neways??
oh **** and its a 1st gen. jdm b16/y1 tranny in an 91 hatch

sounds like you're off to a good start. there are some tiite b16's out there...I remember seein on with around 200hp at the wheels...alot of work tho. another good place to get some info is the all-motor forum...check it out!!!
as for resurfacing, I believe if you don't take too much material off, you won't bump up the comp too much. only when you mill it is when comp. rat. starts to increase.
removing the middle layer of your head gasket will also bump up ur comp. rat....but i don't know how to do that.
and, for sure, using flat top valves will raise it as well.
hope this helps.
