the glass in my 88 crx is heavy and i am looking to take out as much weight as i can. where can i find a good peice of plexi glass to put in, and is it street legal? also how much would i be looking to pay for it?

haha are you talking about the trunk area? if so in every crx, that is heavy! LOL! in a couple of months, i might get carbon fiber trunk lid with lighter glass and stuff. I'm still researching on it. -=D

 

I wouldnt use plexi glass... After a few yrs it will fade badly... And look like ****, not to mention be impossible to see thru...

Not sure... I myself would keep it stock, and maybe get a CF hatch... If I was concerned about weight...

Another thing is road noise, plexu glass dosnt keep out noise as well as normal glass does cuz its not as think... Just some things to consider...

 

lexan glass.... local big chain hardware stores carry both lex and plexi

 

how do i bolt it down or should i use urithane? also how much does it usually cost? thanks
