About aftermarket front bumbers(ground effects)
I am looking into getting a Wings west front bumber, or one from VIS racing. How far would a Wings West bumber be lower than the stock bumber?
What about the VIS racing invader style? how much lower is that? any pics?
also, does anyone know if the VIS bumbers are urethane, or fiberglass?
thanks,
Bryson

The wings west bumper is made out of urethane, with urethane you dont have to worry about it cracking or breaking if you happen to hit it on something. However with urethane you have to worry about sagging over time the bumper will start to sag in certain places.
The ViS bumper is made out of fiberglass, with fiberglass you have to worry about it cracking and if you hit it hard enough it will break, but with fiberglass it can be repaired easily and fiberglass will never sag and one last thing fiberglass is much easier to paint and work with.
Both have their possitives and negatives, personally i prefer fiberglass because i have a good hookup on body work so if anything happens i can get it fixed cheap.
Just my $.02

Wat the hell is a bumber?
If you actually mean bumper, we may be able to help. The Wings West RS kit isn't too much lower than stock... maybe an inch or so. I've had both the RS front bumper and now currently am using the VIS Buddy Club style front bumper which is much lower. Back then, the RS kit was only fiberglass... now they make them in urethane, but their fiberglass is very sturdy and thick. As far as I know, all or most VIS kits are fiberglass. All of the ones I saw at VIS were fibreglass, but the last time I was at the actual store was back in '99.
