Expo5: Average Gas prices per-state
For those of us who live not-so-close to Iowa, I think it would be nice to know the average gas price in the areas in which some of the caravan's are heading. For instance, leaving Seattle, we would have to pass through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Nebraska. So what can we expect to pay at the pump each time we stop? I am curious to find out what I might end up paying in gas.
My idea is to compile a brief list containg city/state, octane, price per gallon.
Seattle, WA - 92octane - ~$2.70/gal
Mods, if this is too OT feel free to remove.

its come down here the past few days. its still around $2.60 for 93oct (reasonable compared to recent prices) here outside NYC. this area varies greatly though.

100 octane on the Speedway on Grand Ave-132, just east of I94 in IL north of Chicago, $3.99 a gallon.
Neither C16 nor on the way for you... well, on the way for me anyway
and I'll be picking up 10 gallons on my way out.

HAHAHAHAHA
The only people that information is useful for, are people attending from Cuba that are taking a ferry to Florida.
Who else is driving through FL that doesn't already know the gas price?

Right now most of the stations in suburban Cook County are around $2.45-2.50 for 93 octane premium, and in the city of Chicago, they are even higher. The suburban collar counties are less. (Tax rates are different in each area, which results in different prices.) When you get away from the Chicago area, it's even less - but don't expect it to be cheap anywhere.

Your housing is more expensive than anywhere else. Why should gas be any different?
