a 92VX ecu no mods...run a 95 gsr motor?
my car got stolen, so did my ecu and distributer..i had a 92 vx ecu layin around...i pluged it in..and found a gsr distributer..the car turns over but refuses to start..my exhaust was also stolen..so i just have the headder on...flames comes out of the exhaust...which means iam gettin spark and fuel? any one has anything to say?

what year is your motor? what year distributer did you put on? The VX ECU will run the GSR motor(if this is what you have) but it be very rough as far as idle, and will also probably hesitate during acceleration due to the ignition maps. Sorry to hear about your loss.
One last thing, are you throwing any codes?

to tell you the truth..i didnt check for codes...and the dist is 94-95....other wise the clips wount clip in...the ecu is a 92...and the motor is a 95....but the car is turnin over..but dont want to start...its gettin gas..power..and spark..
I have a vx with a b16(similar to your situation) and I had to use the vx ecu to drive back and forth to work until I got the right ecu and it did ok, good enough to get around, never took it pass 6k rpm. I should start you car though.
