Ever consider that he does racing other than drag that requires a cage?

Exactally, Manveer! I really enjoy drag racing, but the track is whare I feel at home. This summer Im going to run some local scca gt class races, AND Ive been in 3 pretty big wrecks...I know a bigger one awaits somewhare...sooo...I figured a cage wouldnt be a bad Idea. And I got a 'super-awesome deal on the cage. With the B16 and some mods Id like to run a 13.9 at some point. Possible, yes...gonna happen????? Ill keep you guys posted.

-Jake

Trust me, when you ride with Jake, you need a roll cage!! Besides safety in a 11 second Civic, roll cages provide: safety on the street, safety on road courses, a much stiffer chasis, and proper racing belt anchor points.

Can I do this a few more timeS?

I run a cage and estimate at high 14s (traps at around 96-98mph)...oh wait, I have a cage cause i do autocross and open track events.

And Ghetto-Techs (G-Tech) are horribly inaccurate. 16.10@90 is REALLY odd.

yeah 16.10@90 is wierd...i went back last night..and relized that the grade on the on ramp we ran on was a little steeper than i thought...so those times are off...but the cool thing with the g-tech is that my friend ran it and we could tell the difference between our driving...AND if i take my HB back after I do my swap I can compare the times...g-techs may be ghetto but i think...G-tech is o.k.

If you don't mind my asking, how much did that custom welded cage run you?

I've been wanting to install a cage so I can mount my harnesses properly but don't know whether to go with custom welded or bolt-in (I know welded is safer). Any advice?
