I am planning on swapping in a sohc vtec into a 4th gen (not sure what model or body style yet) but i am not exactly sure on everything that is needed. I know a new wiring harness or jumper harness will be needed seeing as the 4th gen os obd0 and z6 is obd1 and z6 is also vtec but other than that i'm not sure if it just drops in or what. thanks for all the help.
i'd really love to tell you, but i am leaving work right now. but search there is a zillion threads on this. honda-tech got me thru my swap no problem.

thats for the help, keep it coming, if anyone has n e info on a good turbo setup you can help me with that too.
Sounds like you are going to convert to OBD1?!??!?!
GOOD! Saves a lot of typing!
- Wiring and electrical -
P28 ECU
OBD1 jumper harness (or make your own if you know how)
* Z6 distributor
* 4 wire O2 sensor
- Mechanical -
Complete D16Z6 engine
* intake manifold (complete with all sensors, injectors, and throttle body)
* exhaust manifold
(* = if the swap didn't already come with it)
Use the 88~91 tranny and not the hydro one that MAY be included when you buy the swap.

Thanks alot for the help, the motor i am buying is complete z6 out of a 95 ex includes tranny and axles, will the axles work or what axles do i have to use? Also if anyone has had an awesome turbo setup please let me know i do not know what way i want to go i am deciding between 14b or t3/t4. thanks again for all the help.
I tried the Z6 axles when I did my swap and it all seemed to fit.
The splines all work in the tranny and in the hubs.
They are on similar length to the 4G axles too.
The problem is that the out joint is a larger diameter and would press against the inside of the steering knuckle wehn the axle nut was tightened. Instant binding.... no worky.

A 95 ex uses a hydraulic actuation system for the clutch. 88-91 d series transmissions are cable actuated. The clutch is physically the same for all 90+ d series transmissions except for the bearings(throwout etc). The only mechanical difference is how each transmission actuates the clutch.

I think t3/t4 is too big for a z6. It'll be a dyno queen, not enough boost when you want it around town.
I like a t25 or any smallish turbo with a 1.6L personally. You may not reach your 250hp goal, but it'll be very streetable and fun throughout the rev range.
