Default Red CRX lookin for some help

Hi guys i just bought got a great deal on this 87 Honda Civic CRX. My car weighs 1080kg, and i payed 2400$ canadian for it. A week or two before i purchased it the guy had it repainted profesionally done And i must say i like the overall job of it. there is no major problems and car runs strongly. So i began to look into stuff to do to it. I Replaced the gasket b/c it was leaking oil and i droped a K@N airfilter in it. Then i looked at headers etc. It was then i found out that i cant do that becuase the motor in my year of car is weak. This year of motor you cannot do any hop ups. I got the stock motor in it. a 1.5Liter "DX" model, 76hp 12valve carbureted four. It is a D15A1.

Here are some pictures of it... what do u guys think. i do believe it would be a good car to swap a B16, D16 integra, or a ZC DOHC. what do u guys think of the engine swap and the condition of the car??

the best/easiest swap is 86-87 integra motor. do a search on it, you should be able to find some interesting reading on the subject.

Couldn't see the pics for some reason.....

I had an '87 that I loved with a passion. Unfortunately once I looked into swapping engines I found that it's a nightmare to change from a carb to fuel-injected.....an expensive nightmare.

Some people run crazy dual-carb setups without changing fuel plumbing, but that's something I wanted to leave to the muscle car guys. Maybe one of these "crazy" people will post up their experiences.

Also, look at http://www.redpepperracing.com

problem is you need a fuel supply system from an SI model. whats in your car is inadequate for a b16 or most any fuel injected.

check redpepper for more exact info. some really great people on there.
