Removing an OBDII SRS Airbag Steering Wheel.
Okay, finally got my 350mm Steering Wheel in the Mail and Momo Hub Adapter and want to swap out Steering Wheels, other than the obvious, (its illegal) i want to know if anyone can shed some light on ther subject or point me to the proper place/sight to do this, there has to be some sort of DIY/ or how to, with swapping steering wheels, any info would be great, thanks alot guys.
I know your gonna need a T30 torx bit to get the airbag off. and an impact or long extension 19mm for the nut that holds the steering wheel and maybe a puller to get the wheel off. Sometimes there hard to get off sometimes not. oh and disconnect your battery at least 3 minutes before you begin to keep the bag from possibly blowing in you face.
Its easy.
Its easy.
1st i disconnect, the negitive side of the battery. then, how do i disconnect the airbag? and then... i guess above is how i go about taking off and replacing the wheel.
The airbag will have a yellow connector and the entire center part will come off after you take off the torx bolts. reveling the 19mm that holds the steering wheel on.
the yellow connector is located on the bottum side of the wheel. it should have a plastic cover you pry out and you'll see it. same with the torx bolts.
