After b-series swap, wont go into 5th and reverse
Man, one thing after another. Nothing's going right.../rant.
91 CRX SI
XSi swap (b16 + ys1)
Place Racing mounts
Hasport shift linkage
I thought that the place racing shift linkage was not working right (same issue, no fifth/reverse), so I bought the Hasport linkage.
Well, while the hasport looks much better and suited for the purpose, the damn tranny still wont go into fifth and reverse.
All the while, it seems like 1st and 2nd are located where 3rd and 4th should be, when shifting.
Any ideas? Do I have a piece of **** for tranny?

if you take the shift linkage off, are you able to put a screwdriver into the bar on the tranny and put it in all gears?
would it be possible to have the shift linkage mounted wrong
upside down? stabilizer bar crossed? something like that? maybe i'm just a tard

hmm, havent tried that yet. definitely will check this out.
I just got off the phone with my buddy up at Honda, he said since 5th and reverse are in near location, these 2 might be screwed.

We thought this too. But it wont fit any other way. Both Place Racing AND Hasport linkages.

I second the suggestion to use a screwdriver and run through all of the gears. This will definitely determine what is going on.
