Default Help about B18b1 part conversion to b16

Hi I just bought a 1998 Acura Integra and i have a couple questions about doing some engine work by trading parts. Example i would like to take an intake manifold form either a b18 c1 or a b16 and replace it with my intake manifold which is from a b18 b1. Now here is my question i am wondering about how much it would cost for the intake manifold and mainly and most importantly i am wondering if it would fit without any changes to the to anything or whatever and if changes are nesecary what would the changes be. please reply ASAP, i am new to this site so if when you reply and you have to provide a topic please name it answer to b18b1 conversion or please email me the answer to this at Minicuz@bellsouth.net i would much rather you email me if that is not to difficult. thank you for your time and effort.

The intake manifolds are all different between the B18C1, the B18B1 and the B16A. None of them are interchangable with each other.

Companies like Blox and Skunk2 sell intake manifolds based on the Type R manifold design and have them available for all three aforementioned heads.

I agree, they aren't interchangeable that easy. I would just get a skunk2 mani, a lot less headaches and easier to switch. Just take a B16 head and put on there to make her LS/vtec, then the B16 manifold will bolt right up!!

Good luck on the engine build up.
