Default Are resistor box and distributor plugs needed for mpfi swap?

Is it necessary to have the resistor box plug and Si distributor plug for a mpfi swap? Can I just run the wires together or do I need the plug in the middle? I'm having a hard time locating just these two plugs, and I don't want to pay $100 for a complete wiring harness just to chop it up for these two plugs. TIA

if you are staying obd0, you have to have the resistor box on a mpfi setup.

I've called all the junkyards in my area, and they don't have what I need. I'm buying a used dizzy out of a 90 Civic Si, will I need to get a 90-91 dizzy plug or will any 88-91 plug work? Also, I've got an Si resistor box (the one with the fins). Should I try posting in the classifieds for the plugs?

just buy new plugs.. they only like 30$ and you get the right one too. Cause i know plugs differ from one to another and it doesnt matter if they the same obd either .
