Default Help with LS/Vtec

I was told to come here for some ls/vtec help. I just bought a B18A block for a good deal and had ALOT of questions. As far as a cylinder head goes, questions answered. But what kind of internals can I use on this block? GSR or ITR internals? What kind of crank? rods? pistons? I need lots of help on this. Thanks in advance.

Dude, with all your questions I wouldn't build a Ls-Vtec if I were you. ****'s gonna happen, and all your money will go to waste. Just go with a B16/B18c...everything's already there for reliablility and power.

Thats why I'm asking questions now. If it comes down to it I will sell the block and get another. But before the money is spent research must be done so I can do it right.

I agree. The ls/vtec conversion is not for everybody, it takes alot more than just slapping a vtec head on a non-vtec block. When i first started my build, if i had known then what i know now i would have opted for a gsr or type r swap. Do a search and make sure you know what you are getting into before you spend your hard earned bucks on a swap Good luck with your build.
