Alright my H22 in my ej1 idles at around 400-500rpm's when warm. I go to a stop and then idle goes down. And when I roll my windows in my ej1 the idle drops a lil bit. So today I was parked and then I noticed when i pump my brakes like 6 to 7 times the idle goes up to like 1,000 rpms and stays there while keeping my footon the brake pedal. And when I let go the idle goes way down and car struggles. Then goes back to 500 rpm's. I know its not my IACV I already checked it. No cel's. I think it might be my battery thats not tied down, and its kinda leaning on my brake line. And there is signs of rubbing on the line. Its the line thats mounted on the firewall. Do you think bleeding the brakes might help this?

did you get an answer to what happened? a friends prelude with a jdm h22a is doing the same thing- idles around 4-500 when warm, than he just noticed when he pumps the brakes it goes to about 1k but than starts going up and down between 500-1500rpm?

 

Mine does the same. I think it might have something to do with the master brake booster. It has a line running to the intake manifold and keeps a vacum within the housing.

mine does the exact same thing, but ive noticed that the idle only surges when i release the brake pedal...i think it might have something to with the check valve on the brake booster line...i got a new one on the way, ill let you know what happens when i put it in
