Default Question on shift linkage

I looked under my car and i noticed that the boot towards the end of the shift linkage that connects to the tranny has oil on it, are they like axles and need to be replaced? i think its 13 towards the end

No, nothing like axles. Ones holds position and the other uses it as a folcrum point to oush the gears around. You can get oil on it a number of ways, changing your oil, leak somewhere, etc...but they contain no fluids themselves.
