Default 1991 Gs 1/4 mile times

I went to the track for the first time last night. I have a 91 Integra GS, it's got a short ram, and exhaust. It never had a/c ever. I gutted the rear, there was nothing behind the front seats. Here's one of my best times. Tell me what you guys think.

r/t .278
60' 2.360
330 6.562
1/8 10.032
mph 70.37
1000 13.007
1/4 15.538
mph 89.17

haha you missed a wicked thread not to long ago about integra timeslips. Some people were certain integras would never hit mid 15's stock. Good work.

I wouldn't say that is stock, but even so I can't see those mods cutting off more than two tenths at most. I say that time is awesome and proof stock integras are faster than some people give credit.

Oh god.. then you guys are gonna love this.....

First off I would like to say to the Original poster.. Great time man!

Now... I went the other night for the first time in my 91' Integra RS. ONLY mods done to her are cut-off muffler and removed intake resonator. Still breathing through stock airbox and filter. I ran the car at Full Weight(including spare and jack) and all accessories in tact and working(A/C and power steering).

This was my best run of the night:
R/T: .403
60': 2.232
330': 6.372
1/8: 9.850
MPH: 70.65
990': 12.781
1/4: 15.434
MPH: 87.37

I backed it up with 5 other runs that looked like this:
15.480@88.0Mph with a 2.265 60'
15.576@87.37Mph with a 2.288 60'
15.698@87.02Mph with a 2.297 60'

and now for the 2 Shitty runs with Horrible 60's
15.891@86.56Mph with a 2.418 60'
15.897@87.28Mph with a 2.455 60'

Ppl say I have a factory freak... tis this true?!

what other topic? I'm not sure I saw that topic. Is it a really old one? I don't wanna open up an old thread again and look like a douche. i also have a video of my last run of the night. It was a crappy 15.5 run though. Only reason not another 15.4 is because my clutch was pretty heated upo and was slipping every shift down the track. You can really hear it in the video.

I tried searching for it, but I can't find it. Maybe Tmack can find it. I forgot the title of it. It was an amusing read.

That's pretty good dude. My first time ever at the track with my 93 DA I ran a 15.7 @ 90 mph with a 2.8 60 ft time. My only mods were intake, header and a chipped ECU (LS motor). 15.5 is pretty good, you'll keep up if not spank GSR's

I read the other post , and that guy was soooo sure that a stock LS wouldn't run under 16's. LOL But then again, he did say stock, and who has a totally stock teg to run. Seems like everyone at least puts an intake or header on and pulls the spare tire out, big whoop hugh? I personally think he has LS envy. lol

Well.. i was as close to stock your gonna get without really being stock..Haha. I really just had a cut-off muffler. No aftermarket header, pipe, cat, intake... all stock. and I didn't even take out my spare or jack. Everything in the car.

I am however having my stock muffler put back on tomorrow and MIGHT hit up the track tomorrow night and run again TOTALLY Stock, and i will pull the same times. There is NO WAY a cut-off muffler took me from a "Supposed" 16.0 to a 15.4

Yea my motor is pushing 196K now. Some of my friends think my car is cammed, but I think its just a freak motor. I ran my friends 91 LS, and I spanked him, he couldnt break into the 16's. He has intake, header, exhaust, and was also gutted. Is there something wrong with his car?

your car was probably really babied throughout its entire life until you got it

anyway if your car was "cammed" then you would be doing alot more than 15.5s. more in the high 14s.

Good time, my friend has an almost similar setup when he went to the track last week. Except he had no power steering on top of what you have and ran a 15.4

with a 2.8 60 ft. time? did you think the starting line was the burnout area or what? i dont believe that. my friend ran a 15.5 in his DA with intake exhaust and chipped ecu shifting at 8000...and his 60 ft was a 2.3. this is either bullshit or a typo. and about the recent ls track times thread, i dont remember anybody saying you couldnt hit 15s stock, but 15.4 is a little far fetched.

Dude, trust me.. I know me pulling a 15.4 Sounds ALMOST impossible without gutting the car or having any mods. But I have the last run of the night on tape which was a 15.5. God knows how old my clutch is... but that was the last run of the night for me(I ran 6 times and she was pretty hot!) In the video you can hear the clutch slip EVERY gear as I shift down the track and was STILL able to pull a 15.5 out of it. If the clutch wasn't slipping like that I could have pulled my 3rd 15.4 of the night.

Heres the vid of the 15.5.....listen to my clutch slip...LOL

ive already seen it on g2ic, i just cant believe it. you must have a freak engine to run a 15.4 stock with slippage every single shift. like i said, my friend has a 91 rs with a 94 ls engine, intake, exhaust and a chipped ecu shifting at 8000, with falken tires, launching at 4000 with a 2.3 60 ft, and only ran a 15.5 once, 15.7 all day. and yes he knows how to drive; he has a 400 whp 240sx. hes been racing/fixing cars all his life.

I know that the owner before me didn't baby the car too much. I bought the car off of my friend when he picked up a Lude vtec. But yea I figured it wasn't cammed, because it would be even faster.

The owner before put cam gears on the car, and I don't think its timed correctly now, plus his clutch is slipping. He told me he launched at like 4.5k and barely spun the tires.

somethings fucked up; if its not warm or hot outside, i have to launch under 3000 or my tires will spin uncontrollably and i have to ***** foot it to get a 2.5 60 ft. he needs a clutch.
