HID installation....
when installing H.I.D. is there supposed to be a power line that leads directly to your battery? b'cause i got this new HID kit and it doesnt have a power line that leads to the car battery but instead it juss connects directly to the factory harness from the ballast..both negative and positive...but when i connected it the HID juss wouldnt come on. i checked all fuses and crap but no luck. the HID kit is brand new, made in march 2005...a friend of mine says you need to connect it sumhow to the battery...i dont wanna splice any wires on it if i dont have to...any suggestions?
is yours a plug and play hid? if not then there should be a wire that you connect but if it is a plug and play then they should just plug in
on my hella hid
there's a harness for...
x2 stock headlight lowbeam harness
x2 12v positive power source harness(to battery +)
x2 grounding cable(to the car's grounding point)
just in case we are on the same chapter, how much did you pay for it?
there's some fake stuff around that costs much less.
and by anychance you got a oem replacement ballast?

i think it is plug and play bcuz theres no wire that is said to be lead to the battery only a harness for the low beam harness...i payed $250 for the kit...it comes with negative and positive wire leading from the bulb to the ballast and another set of neg and pos leading from the ballast to a harness where im supposed to connect to the low beam harness...thats it.
