Selling/parting my crx...
OK, so I recently got my crx back... It's a funny story, but that's not for here...
Long story short is that I traded it for a turbo 89 supra, the kid never registered it, got it impounded, and I paid the fines and got it back. He said it wasn't worth the money to pay me back the money, and that I should just keep the car. Sooooo.... I'm selling it because I don't have the $$ to mod and drive two cars, and, quite honestly, I'm really feelin my supra. So here it is, I'm selling it or parting it. I'd really rather sell the car outright, but, if I can't, I'll put up a link about the partout. Here's the details on the car:
-1990 CRX DX
-1994 D16Z6 motor, about 100K original miles, stock motor
-1992 JDM ZC LSD Trans. This is the shining jewel of the car. No grinds, hooks up hard!
-Powdercoated black valve cover
-DC 4-2-1 header
-came back to me with the exhaust ripped off at the back of the header, but I have a TenzoR axle back that is brand new and has never been used, so it just needs a B-pipe, which is easy and cheap.
-Konig Intake
-Centerforce dualfriction stage 2 clutch with segmented copper impregnated pad material.
-Progress springs with KYB GR-2 shocks
-Front upper and rear lower strut braces
-Bosch plat+4 plugs
-Bosch competition wires
-B16A injectors (probably doesn't make a difference, but they're in there...)
-fully customDPFI to MPFI DX conversion harness.
-16x7" GramLight knockoff wheels, all 4 tires are trashed. It looks like really bad toe in wear/camber wear, the car probably needs an alignment, and has torn up the tires on the insides. I have a source who is selling 4 205/50/ZR16 tires for $100...
-Grant GT steering wheel
-Si seats, driver's side has the usual wear on the bolster, but not too bad. The passenger side, of course, is mint. You could easily switch the seats around and have a pristine drivers seat.
-Pilot (momo knockoff) shift **** with cut down shifter
-Sony CD player, New Alpine Type S 2 way 6.5" speakers
-PM6 ECU out of a 90 (can be used with TurboEDIT)
-I also have a Y8 Intake Manifold that can go with this car.
The downside:
-The body is in need of paint.
-There's no rust, but it was painted poorly, and the paint looks like crap.
-The fenders are totally jacked... When they were put on, they weren't lined up right and the doors have screwed them up pretty badly. Probably not reparable.
-Has no interior behind the cargo box, and the cargo box is not fastened down, it's just sitting there.
-It was started to be shaved, and done poorly, so the antenna and hatch glass sprayer holes are open, so it has no antenna (radio gets crappy reception) and if it rains, water runs into the floorpan thru the holes... it's kinda annoying, but easily fixable if you're handy with bondo or JB weld.
-Also due to the shaving is the door handles were shaved out, but then the alarm broke, so I put in a driver's side door handle. I planned on putting new doors on it altogether, just never got around to doing it. It's useable, but the job I did was quick and dirty, and, quite honestly, looks like crap because I just wanted something in there for now and didn't plan on trying to finish the job up.
I have pics of anything you want. It runs good, gets good mileage, doesn't overheat or kill or anything, and would be a great project. If you have questions, email me at suprasonic502@hotmail.com, hit me up on AIM: wiredspeedjosh (yes, I work for Wired Speedlab), hit me up on MSN using my hotmail address, but DO NOT PM ME! I'm almost never on here and I promise you it will go unanswered.
If this ends up being a part-out, it will be done as a group buy, and everyone will buy their parts, pay, and get their parts at the same time... I'll post up what I decide in the next few days.
I'm looking to get $2200 out of it as it sits. There are over $3000 in parts here alone. If you want a project, this would be a good one. The car is located in Louisville, Kentucky, fyi.
