Default what do RS badges mean?

sorry if this is the wrong forum. It wouldn't let me post in the General forum. I want to know what the "RS" badge means seen on the front grill of cars like the Civic.

I'm not sure, but I think it's a trimline for the 6th(+?) gen' Civic Ferio's.

it's a trim of the Civic, right? Like the LX, EX, SE, etc.

I've never seen it on stock Civics before.

Its a different model..Only UK I think..but its available out of the states.

What's the difference between the stock Civic and the RS Civic in Japan?

RS doesnt stand for anything I assume..its like saying what does Si stand for, EX, LX, HX, DX..and such
