Default Rocket Motorsports Valvetrain

Just wondering if anyone on here is running the Rocket Motorsports valvetrain. Mainly I am curious about the M22's because they have similar specs to Skunk2 Stage 2's and cams of similar comparison. They are decently priced as well. The specs for the M22's are int. duration 284 lift 12.1 exh. duration of 284 and life of 12.1. Anybody on here running them? opinions on them? Thanks for your help

Valvetrain example....H-T user name "Tbone" runs them in a very macho B20 vtec. He has dyno's every camshaft under the sun, from S2S3's, BC4's and BC5's, clear up to 10k many many times and has never dropped a valve. If the RM valvetrain can survive in that motor, then it can survive in anything. And keep in mind, this is the RM gen 2 springs which have less seat preaure than gen 1's. As for the M22's....do a search and you will find a TON of info on them with nothing but satisfied customers. There was a guy who just dipped into the 11's running the RM M22x's with a chip burnt by Rocket himself, no hondata at all....thats impressive

i'm considering using RM springs and retainers on my lsvtec build. has anyone used them in conjunction with catcams stage3? would the gen1s or gen2s be a better fit for that application?

It depends on how the cams are manufactured. For most cams other than Rocket Motorsports cams, we usually recommend the Gen2's.

I have had nothing but good results from the M22's. I just have the M22's with his custom chip and I managed to get 207hp/135tq on my LS V-TEC , stock bore (81mm bore) with a non-ported B16 head. We went to the track last night and managed to run 11.87 two times in a row @ 112 mph. I hope to see some better times this Friday. ROCKET MOTORSPORTS
