I recently bought a set of mudflaps for my 92 hatch. The fronts fit fine, but the rears won't line up for some reason. There seems to be some sort of bracket up in the bumper which is causing the fitment issue.

I know for a fact that the rears are for a 5th gen hatch because they were on a friends car and fine.

Anyone experience this issue?

 

Modify it.

 

I think that the brackets in the way of the flaps are actually VX diffusers. Has anyone had trouble mounting mudflaps when also using diffusers?
