CEL for o2 sensor because there is a staight pipe running instead of the cat.<maybe>i'm running rich or lean because of this? i don't know
Car is not loud at all on things loud is the motor when floored

the engine has 100k on it and has 150-155 compression across
engine's has not been changed in about 5-7000 i bought the car last week.
i have these part to install and thing's to do the battle of the import is in september
and if i can't low 12's by then i'm going to be pissed.

new j-racing whale ***** intake
Amsoil oil change <im going to run a diffrent brand for 1/2 day with some engine gunk remover so i can get the sludge out before i put the ams in>
NGK v-power plugs
and gut the interior.

So what did you run? 15.7 or was that your friend? Low 12's is not going to happen until you build the engine a little more. The EMS is a nice add on though.

Did you leave your engine OBD1? If so, your straight pipe should not leave a CEL. You probably don't have the O2 sensor wired correct. Check that out.

yes engine is obd 1 there is a o2 bung in the prospeed but it's not hooked up to anything?

If your wiring was OBD2, the computer would be looking for a second o2 reading. If you had a straight pipe in this situation, the two o2 sesors would read the same, making the computer throw a code. The reason is, on OBD2 cars, there is one o2 before the cat, and one after the cat. The cat acutally breaks down the emissions and by the time your exhaust reaches the second o2 reads lower.
Since you are wired OBD1, you only need one o2 sensor. If you are still shooting a CEL, either the sensor is bad, or you wired it up wrong.

just bought some NGK 8mm wires nology doesn't seem right for the price.

my 2001 civic 2dr does 15.7 with no passenger seat all motor D17 . your friend needs some tires. If you are running drag radials set the psi to around 18lbs and launch at a higher rpm.
are you sure your compression #'s are right? cuz even w/ 9:1 pistons im getting ~ 180 and my bro w/ 11:1 is getting ~210 yours seems low
