he stayed nose to nose till 3rd gear the i leaped ahead 1/2 a car

i heared the h22 in a eg is going to rund l0w 14's to like 13.9 in the quater?

is it my launch?

the engine has 100k on it and has 150-155 compression across
engine's has not been changed in about 5-7000 i bought the car last week.

i have these part to install and thing's to do the battle of the import is in september
and if i can't low 12's by then i'm going to be pissed.

So what did you run? 15.7 or was that your friend? Low 12's is not going to happen until you build the engine a little more. The EMS is a nice add on though.

You are correct, most h22 hatches run high 13's low 14's.

Did you leave your engine OBD1? If so, your straight pipe should not leave a CEL. You probably don't have the O2 sensor wired correct. Check that out.

What? Do you mean air pressure in the tires?

 

yes air pressure in the tires

 

yes engine is obd 1 there is a o2 bung in the prospeed but it's not hooked up to anything?

the cell comes on after about 3-5 mins of driving the aem tuners in town said they can eliminate that when i hook up my aem ems and dyno tune.

i'm going get a dyno reading before and after the hook up of the aem ems to compare results

If your wiring was OBD2, the computer would be looking for a second o2 reading. If you had a straight pipe in this situation, the two o2 sesors would read the same, making the computer throw a code. The reason is, on OBD2 cars, there is one o2 before the cat, and one after the cat. The cat acutally breaks down the emissions and by the time your exhaust reaches the second o2 reads lower.

Since you are wired OBD1, you only need one o2 sensor. If you are still shooting a CEL, either the sensor is bad, or you wired it up wrong.

Did you use the o2 that came with the car, or the one that came on the motor?

just bought some NGK 8mm wires nology doesn't seem right for the price.

The car should run rich if your o2 is bad. Leave the plugs where their at.

 

if the usps deliver the EMS i can get that tuning done and if the o2's bad then i need to replace soon

 

my 2001 civic 2dr does 15.7 with no passenger seat all motor D17 . your friend needs some tires. If you are running drag radials set the psi to around 18lbs and launch at a higher rpm.

 

are you sure your compression #'s are right? cuz even w/ 9:1 pistons im getting ~ 180 and my bro w/ 11:1 is getting ~210 yours seems low

but it's a cheap compression tester so give or take 10 psi
