Default Not FS thread ... market value assesment 93 civic lx sedan

blue with 153k auto with studded snow tires on it. pretty clean overall needs a good detail but nothing major outside of the usual nicks and scrapes that comes with a 12+ yr old 150k+ car. the air works, all the windows and door locks work. i didnt drive it but it did start fine and it shifted through each gear without any clunking or banging. the tranny fluid was nice and read with no strange smells as was the oil. engine bay looked relatively clean. overall decent shape. what would you look to pay for that car? I may have a chance to put a sealed bid in (nothing to do with ebay) on it and just wanna get some neutral ideas

$1,000 since it probably will start rusting through sometime soon.

KBB is about as accurate on Honda's as a 9mm at 100 yds. The funny thing is that there was no visible rust even around the rear fenders, there also a 93 accord stick sedan lx with the whole corner of the rear fender and part of the door was rusted right through. This thing is gonna go through a wholesale dealer only auction and my only way of buying it is to place a sealed bid. One would think that a dealer wouldnt pay more than $1200-1500 max for this kind of car but a 98 Integra sedan in citrus silver with 218k, 4 bald tires, broken exhaust and making some engine noise sold for $2750 at this same auction. these guys can really pay some stupid money for cars down there
