last week i had a problem with an oil leak i lost alot of oil fast when i was driving and once i noticed it i put opil in my car so i could drive it home. Once i got home i realized the leak was coming from my oil sending unit that i had from autometer that worked with my oil pressure gauge. i replaced the sending unit with the OEM piece now the leak is fixed, but my car is feeling alittle sluggish and when i start my car it smokes as i drive away then if i enter into vtec i get another cloud of smoke. Anyone know what this could be. thanks

--is there anything strange looking in your coolant?

--If you take off the oil cap, its there a whitish residue in the motor and on the cap?

--pull out the spark plugs and mark what cylinders they were in. what colour are they? any strange looking wear on them?

--check your compression

--check your timing

-- Are you getting any CEL's?

 

If you ran the car low on oil you could have screwed something up, I suggest you do what B16B said.

 

-no whitesh residue

-no check engine light

what do i need to buy to be able to check my compression? i will check the coolant,plugs and timing tomarrow thanks alot b16b!!!!
