Got a b20 vtec swap in a 2000 si, and it seems that a rod is bent. what all would have to be done to fix the block? Im not sure if it is the cams or the rod. How can I troubleshoot the motor? any advise would be great help. thanks.

 

A cam problem and a problem with a rod are two totally different things...

Take the head off, and have someone who knows what they are doing inspect the head first.

And of course if thats fine, drop the bottom end.
