RangerDans K-swap Eg oh yeah new paint! Captiva Blue 90% Complete
UPDATED with before pics!
Finally seeing some light at the end of a very long tunnel...
Those that dont know I removed the "old" B18C-r and replaced it with a K24/20 swap. Well it was at the shop so long that I decided to change the paint as well. Black is awesome but upkeep SUCKS so my next favorite color would be, yes Captiva Blue.
The engine has dynoed at 212 whp and 180-2 tq. I havent actually driven it yet
but that day will soon come lol. We might actually toss in some cams before it is trully road worthy however.
Tossed on some "bling" for my own likings as well. Got rid of that trash cf hood made by BKNW finally and went with something that actually looks like c/f, ViS. Took off the old side mirrors and replaced them with the jdm retractables and also put in some jdm headlights. I dont consider myself to be a big jdm fan but some of that stuff is just better than our U.S. parts.
I currently have a set of Rota slips and a set of Mugen mr5's...think Im going to put the Mugens on...going with the Potenza G009 tire 205-50-15.
Anyways the car kept the p/s, running a K-Pro (although weve already had some troubles with it
)
I would like to thank PFISpeed.com, Big O tires (wow, life savers!) and Advanced Body Tek in Fort Collins Co. (970-482-8355) for sponsoring me by repainting the entire car to my exact likings. These guys do AWESOME classic restores to everyday drivers. Mark will take care of your daily car the same manner in which he gives to the classic projects...what a guy!!! Thanks Mark!!! I live 4 hours away and its worth the drive.
Let me know what you think...thanks!
BEFORE

First body shop pics.

I bet the skeleton on this hood doesnt fall apart like that BKNW hood did.

This picture just speaks for itself.

And now the new paint...minus wheels.

Money Shot! BTW my decision to keep the bay black...it just looks better imo.

Note the guy in the top of the pic directly above the car...Apexi rep that came down to tune some guys car and took interest in the hatchy...sponsorship of some kind possibly? I doubt it lol...but I can dream.

Sorry I posted before the car is complete but after seeing the new paint today I just had to.
