Default What steering part to buy to solve my problem?! Pic/Searched

My problem is, if I go anything faster than 50 mph, my steering wheel (and the whole car for that matter) starts to shake. It's like there's something loose in the right side. So far I have replaced: Both Tie rod ends(25, 26, 27 -for both sides- in pic) and Right Lower Ball joint (suspension). Same thing. These parts were shot anyways so at some point I had to replace them.

According to what I found, Inner tie rod end (part 20) looks the most suspicious to me. I read in several threads that Part 10 could cause this also. Now, is the inner tie rod end (#20) attached to part 10 or is it way inside the rack? If this is too hard, then I'll have a shop do it. I'm giving up... one problem after another in this car...

Also would you recommend getting the inner tie rod end while I'm at it? Only if necessary tho...

Also, would item #21 (lock washer) come with the inner tie rod end if I get it?

simply sounds like your front and/or rear wheels need to be rebalanced...

This is not something that could be caused by an bad alignment, but for worn out suspension parts.

They are fine. You can tell that there's something loose, plus I have vertical play in the right tie rod. Very slight, but I think that makes this vibration.

Why can't the alignment play a part in your vibration?? That's what it sounds like. My car does the same thing, but it was a lot worse b4 new tie rods and balanced wheels. I need alignment too.

get an alignment, it could be insufficient caster. if it is the tie rods, they will tell you when they do the alignment.

does it get worse if you apply the brakes? if it does, it could be that your disc(s) are warped. just a thought. i've had the same issue with my car once and that was the problem.

caster is not adjustable in our cars. the tie-rod should rotate slightly due the ball joint movement, but any other movement is bad. a bad alignment will not cause vibration

I was talking with my dad and I'm starting to consider an alignment. I noticed I have positive toe on my right wheel (ver visible outwards). I'll try that I guess.

I would definetly say get an alignment first, and then if you still have problems something needs replacing.

My hatch also does this, but only past 65mph. I've had the wheels balanced, and I've even had an alignment. Most like one of the wheels is flat spotted or one of the stock 13" rims is bent.

did u check your tires?

sometimes your tire has a bump inside that causes the shaking..

i dunno, that was my problem before when i was going above 50-60mph it starts to shake and wiggle.

sure it is, a curb and some speed will set it right outside of factory recomended specs.

lol...or traction bars....if you want to go with the safer, more down to earth approach.

I was saying that that is a reason it may be out of spec. The correct way to fix a caster problem is either repairing the frame or replacing the subframe, whichever is damaged. The ghetto way would be adjustable ball joints (like I am using to get more caster than normal). Traction bars ARE NOT a good way to increase caster.
