Default ZC to B18c1? Any input.

I am currently running a ZC DOHC but I am thinking about doing the GSR swap. Anyone have or can point me to some good B18c1 engine swap guides? I'll continue searching but mostly coming up with engines for sale and i'm looking more for info right now. Thanks for your time.

is yours EF or ED?

i just swapped a b18c from an SiR, it was relatively hassle free yet the engine sits high on my ED9 so i'm gonna do an SiR crx front end swap so hopefull the bulge in the the SiR bonnet fixes my probs.
oh and it was a bitch to get my power steering pump to fit, had to cut away at hte headlight support a lil bit

another friend just finished one on his EF and had no problems at all, it is pretty straight forward. his engine isnt sitting high but he also had to chop his headlight support for the power steering to fit

my advice is dont buy an engine, BUY A HALFCUT to make sure you have all i need

I have an EF hence the sig, but do you mean a hlafcut of a GSR? I have a friend that knows B18's inside and out so hopefully he can tell me what parts I would need. I know you need engine mounts.

Thanks, Where is Sterling PA? There arn't any b18c crx's down my way only seen 1 crx with a b16 running around. Wouldn't mind seeing a completed swap.

Not to be a dick but you have an ED unless you imported an EF from overseas. All USDM 88-91 civic/crx models go by the chassis code ED. JDM is EF and EDM is EE.

I would go ahead and do the swap because it will be a night and day difference between the zc and b18c1.

Oopse my bad, yeah thats what I figured. I would also build the motor first and boost it. My engine now runs fine so I could do all that then swap it in a weekend or so.
