Default 1.5 60's

I havent done a whole lot of suspension work but I would like to know what everyone is using to obtain such good 60s. Ive read through tons and tons of threads through the years and seen lots of 1.5s on less WHP?TQ than what i have. Most of the cars Im referring to even weigh 2-300lbs more. What are you guys doing that Im not??? car weighs around 1800lbs w/ me in it 220WHP/150TQ.
Ive had 195/130 on 22s high 1.6s @1800lbs
210+/150 on 22s high 1.6s @1800lbs
220+/150 on 23s high 1.6s @1800lbs
currently HP????TQ???? on 24.5 high 1.6s@1800lbs
Anybody even willing to give insight?

4.9 final or higher, your weight is great, need a little more power from what i've seen, need excellent track conditions, crossmember, good lsd, bushings all the way around, solid mounts and 24 up for slick height. These aren't facts just what i've seen people use to get in the 1.5 territory in street cars. So you already have a huge step with the weight. Biggest thing is tranny work, alot of these guys say their setup is simple but they dont tell u the thousands they have into their tranny. My 2 cents, you probally already know all this, hope it helps.

<--- 1.60 consistent 60 ft times 207hp/136tq
22x9.5x13
1.61 60 ft on 22x8x15
All-motor hatch 1915lbs with me in it (stock axles) YS1 tranny<---stock as well
The trick is in the tire pressure and how well you warm them up. I am shooting for some high 1.5's this week.

2200 lbs.
250 whp/170tq.
23x8x13's. 8 psi.
Skunk2 Drag launch springs.
8,000 rpm launch.
4.785 FD
Low 1.6's.

Tried 24x8.5x24.5's and could only muster mid 1.7 60's.
Let me know if you find the key to 1.5's.

Have any of you guys tried limiting straps at all?? Was reading in the drag racing forum that it helped a guy from 1.6's to consistent 1.5's, although i am sure it was on a well prepped track!

launching high is not the problem. ive tried anywhere from 7k-9.5k.

humble, you guys were kinda the ones i was referring to. 205WHP/136TQ with a 1900lb car just seems rediculous.

i put on some limiting straps last night as a matter of fact. i dont think my car is running 100% right now since i changed so many things over the winter. i just need some seat time to dial it in.

i have a JDM FD and have contemplated going to a ATS 4.92 but id end up needing to shift into 5th at the end. i might just need a ATS shorter 1st gear, hell if i know. based on looking at my video footage from last years races im already shifting to 2nd right at or right before the 60' mark.

keep em coming.

the key to anything is practice if you keep trying enough your 60s will come down along with proper equipment

You got pics of your homemade traction bars?(Just curious)

Keep the info going! I wish I could get sub 2 sec 60' times.

i havent taken b4 and afters of my 24s, but with both my 22s and 23s i would start at 8PSI b4 burnout but after the run i would be around 10PSI. anything higher on either set would yield worse 60s

Do you race at PR? Maybe that's why... it's the only place I've raced, but people have told me its a shitty track and you can pull better times at Bremerton (which is also kinda shitty I hear) or Mission.
